There is very little known history of the Detroit native but Dej Loaf is no newcomer, she has certainly managed over the last few months to make a name for herself. The 23 year old has emerged out of the woodwork at a time hip-hop was recovering from all of the recent summertime twerking frenzy.
Some years back we posed the question “What Happened To The Female MC?” but since then numerous female MC’s are starting to make waves and in some cases outdoing their male counterparts.
A lot has changed since then we have seen the rise of Rapsody, the return of Remy Ma and the recent success of Grand Hustle’s Iggy Azalea . We once cited a need for more diverse female presence in hip-hop and Dej is definitely a representation of what we have been yearning.
Her new banger “Try me’ has taken the hip-hop world by storm playing in every club and landing on every major market radio station in the country with no major backing. With everybody in the rap game making their own version of the record, as well as, an official remix featuring Remy Ma and Ty Dolla $ign, there is no telling what is in store for young Dej but we are paying close attention.

It looks as if Natalie Nunn is gearing up to go in on famed model, Amber Rose. Recently the reality TV starlet revealed that Amber Rose’s former assistant resigned from her position as Amber’s team because she wasn’t getting paid. Natalie claims that upon quitting her position, she contacted Natalie to inform her that Amber is steadily trying to dig into Natalie’s life. Here’s Natalie in her own words:
“[She] quit, she just quit,” Nunn added. “[She] just recently quit on Amber Rose because the b*tch ain’t got no money to pay for her motherf*cking assistant. Yo, yo, let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. These n*ggas can go ahead and sugarcoat whatever the f*ck they want — when I put my motherf*cking money in the bank every day, that’s my motherf*cking money.”

Last week during New York’s Mercedes-Benz Week, Foxy Brown was reportedly kicked out of an after-party in which she was due to perform. The obvious root of Foxy’s behavior was intoxication. The female rapper arrived late (and drunk) to the venue, approximately 10 minutes before closing. As partygoers began to exit, Foxy threw a tantrum and locked herself in the bathroom and refused to come out. Security eventually subdued the situation and removed her from the building.
While music and NBA fans enjoyed the weekend’s spectacular events, Kobe Bryant’s new sneaker is revealed during a cinematic short film. The video is chock full of big name stars that all play their respective positions well. Peep game (pun intended).
This year has been a prominent one for music fans. The veterans of the game came out swinging but before we put too much emphasis on that, I must say that the newcomers are also making noise as well. As promised, we came through once again with an exclusive new gem from Noggz. As we try to keep up with this guy, it looks as if there’s no slowing him down. Lyrics are sharp as we remember from his last release. Oh yeah, the ‘eye candy’ makes this thing even more banging. You seen it here first, so back up… ain’t no love for haters.
As we creep a little closer to 2K11, HHABC reflects back on the wonderful year we had and look forward to many more to come. Capping off a very eventful 2010, we bring to you the results of 33seventee6’s recent fashion show in Atlanta.
The show featured the line’s latest collections of designer tees and some of the industry’s hottest models and also a must see for the fellas…ladies in body paint!
Peep the video as the girls take the runway and rep hard for our partners at 33seventee6. Some of ATL’s local celebs stopped in to show support for the cause. One thing that anyone who sees this will recognize is that HHABC will always be around to capture moments such as this. The mood of the whole evening was that of peace and love.
Shout out to Pluto WorldWide for making the whole thing possible, we see you out there! As in all events such as this one, location is key and the folks at the New Archive Art Gallery were kind enough to avail their facility for the day and the night.
Enjoy the video and listen to the new track we just snatched from that dude Noggz. This dude is a beast…enjoy. Look out for that upcoming mixtape “Dont Try This At Home” due out 1st half 2011.
