one of the largest ghettos in Africa enters 8th Ave aka “The Rhyme Demon”.
The young, humble and charismatic MC/Producer responsible for one of the regions biggest records in 2011 “Tokelezea” by Abbass f Chantell , 8th Ave is on a mission to put his hood on the map.
During a recent visit to Nairobi fellow MC/Director, Noggz, (www.therealnoggz.com) caught wind of the young hopeful and was instantly inspired to direct his debut single “Telegram” which is slated to have any hip-hop head itching for that golden era feel once again.
RD is planning on releasing his debut EP as well as continue producing for the numerous other MC’s through his own “Pure Black Pro” Imprint and much more.
Keep an eye out for 8th Ave, he has a story to tell.

Those were the good ol’ days… Nowadays when we hear any mention of Foxy Brown, the rapper, it’s usually followed by a wacky tale of how the female emcee managed to find herself in some type o trouble with authorities. But we want to let it be known that once upon a time she really was all about the music. Here’s a flashback from her debut album ‘Ill Na Na’. Oh and by the way, it was rumored that Foxy and Jay-Z were once an item. We’ll never know the truth behind that one but one thing is certain, they gave us a few classics that will always be held in high regards in the hip hop world.

Versatile… That’s the one word that comes to mind when we speak about Dré. Every time we hear a new joint from this kid, he comes with a different style and the rhymes he’s spitting can be felt in the soul. On this one he takes a classic beat and kills it. We can’t wait for an official album, it’s definitely gonna be something special.
