Citizens worldwide band together in a global effort to stop Ugandan LRA (Lord’s Resistance Army) leader, Joseph Kony. He is responsible for the murder, raping, kidnapping, and displacement of tens of thousands of young children. Recently, President Obama and the American military forces were reminded how important it is to have Kony captured and removed from authority. There has recently been a slew of reports confirming that Nas has started a new record label but that may not be true. According to Anthony Saleh, Nas’ manager, there is no such label. The rumor originated when Young Money artist, Tyga, sat down with Sway on MTV RapFix Live, and explained how Nas ended up on his album. Tyga would go on to suggest that after Nas recorded his verse for the song ‘Kings and Queens’, he then opened up about recently starting a label called ‘Kings and Queens’. Here’s Tyga’s interview…
Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose recently announced their engagment to be married. The couple have been a hot item for well over a year. Upon sharing the news Amber tweeted, “He has made me the Happiest Woman in the World!!!!”. Fans have been anxiously awaiting the official announcement after Amber revealed to E! News that the two lovebirds did indeed want to get married. Congratulations to Wiz and Amber. Be on the lookout for Wiz’s new mixtape, Taylor Allderdice, soon to drop, which is rumored to feature Amber on one of the songs.
Early Sunday morning upon leaving La Bamba, a nightclub located in South Nashville, suspects driving a white Chevy Tahoe sped past Young Buck, who was in his own SUV, and opened fire on the vehicle. Young Buck’s girlfriend, Kenyetta Rainey, was shot in the shoulder during the shooting. She was taken to Vanderbilt hospital to be treated and was later released. According to police, Young Buck and his girlfriend were involved in a very ‘heated’ argument with other clubgoers. The rapper revealed to police that he had just held a cookout for fans on Saturday. Young Buck’s vehicle was hit 11 times by the gunfire.

Tempe, Arizona >>> Those are those words delivered by Nipsey Hussle via Twitter after a violent shooting took place outside of The Clubhouse, the venue Nipsey was due to perform at later that [Friday] night. Police reports reveal that there was a total number of 13 people shot and of those, two were critically wounded. Authorities are looking for two males who were seen leaving the scene. On one positive note, no one was killed during the incident.

Grand Hustle recently just added another member to the team. Trae the Truth announced on MTV Rap Fix, that he and T.I. have come together to sign a deal that will officially make him Trae a part of the Grand Hustle family.
T.I. speaks highly of Trae and stands behind the new deal 100%, “We’re gonna work alongside each other for a common goal and release this Trae tha Truth project…When cats cut from a certain cloth give their word and shake their hand, that’s what makes it a done deal…the ink is just a formality.” As he broke the news Trae expressed his enthusiasm of the new venture as well, “…he reached out more on a partner note to where it wasn’t about money…”
Miami authorities are still in search of suspect responsible for the murder of a 40-year old man who was found shot to death in front of Rick Ross’ house. As AllHipHop News reported, the unidentified male was found near the gate of the Miami Gardens residence but investigators are not pursuing Ross because he was not home at the time of the incident. Officials want to speak Rick Ross merely because he is the owner of the property.
It almost seems like an eternity since we’ve had a new Outkast album to rock out to. Andre 3000, the eclectic half of the duo Outkast, says that we will have to wait a little while longer for a new ‘Kast album. The reason for that is mainly due to contract issues. Andre has been doing quite well financially without being signed to a major label, and he is skeptical in changing that. Making featured appearances on other artist’s songs has been lucrative and Andre doesn’t find a necessity in signing, especially since in doing so the label would take a cut of his profits. In a recent interview with GQ magazine, ‘Dre revealed that he enjoys being a solo artist, and with a new solo project on the way, he is in no hurry to change anything. He credits other artists for reaching out to him for featured appearances, and tries to remain humble because after being in the game for so long, he’s well aware of the pitfalls. But it doesn’t look like he has to worry about falling off any time soon though. Andre is now a spokesperson for Gillette and he plans to soon release some new items from his ‘Bixby’ clothing line. We may not get that new Outkast album as soon as we’d like but Andre is sure to be around for a long time. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that new Outkast album is stalled for too long!
